Chicken with chestnuts & red sauce
Ingredients
• 1 chicken, weighing 1 ½ kg
• 2 medium onions
• 1 red pepper
• 2 kg chestnuts
• 1 wineglass of "Lof" Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• 1 small glass of "Aspro Pato" Dry Red Table Wine
• Salt, pepper
Execution
• Wash the chicken, cut it into portions, season with salt and pepper, sauté it in the olive oil for 10 mins and then add the wine.
• Cut the onions and the pepper into small pieces and add them in the pot.
• Simmer all the ingredients in the pot for 2-3 mins, add some water the leave the food to boil over medium heat for 30 mins.
• Then, add the boiled and peeled chestnuts for another 10 mins approximately. If you wish, you can add two grated ripe tomatoes instead of water.
