Meat

Ingredients

450 g beef mince
450 g pork mince
3 (+1 separate) cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup of finely chopped onions
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of white bread
Grated parmesan cheese for serving
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1 egg
Pdo Sitia Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Golden Creta Savouidakis"
1 potato
Salt and pepper

Execution

In a large bowl, soak the break in milk for approx. 5-10 mins.
Mix the beef and pork mince, the soaked bread, 1 clove of garlic, the onion, the egg, the parmesan cheese and the parsley together.
Add salt and pepper depending on how spicy you want the meatballs to be and knead the mixture well.
Make small meatballs and put them aside for a short time to rest.
Pour the Pdo Sitia Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Golden Creta Savouidakis" in a large pan over medium heat and fry the meatballs for approx. 10 mins each, until golden brown.
When you remove them from the pan, place them on a plate with paper to absorb the excess oil.
When you finish frying, clean the pan and prepare the marinade.
Heat some Pdo Sitia Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Golden Creta Savouidakis"  and sauté the 3 gloves of garlic until golden brown (approx. 3 mins); then, add the tomato sauce, the salt and pepper and the basil.
Allow the sauce to come to a boil and add the meatballs.
Cover the pan with a lid and leave the meatballs to boil for 12 mins.
Serve the meatballs on spaghetti or french fries with plenty of grated parmesan cheese.
