Golden Creta Savouidakis

In the valley of Messara Heraklion is the archeological site of Gortyna, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. There, according to Classical Greek Mythology, Zeus united with Europe, giving birth to the later three kings of the Palaces of Minoan Crete.

"Golden Crete" from ancient times, in addition to its brilliant culture, generously gives us its Liquid Gold. Olive juice has become known in every corner of the globe for its high quality, its wonderful taste and its health-protecting properties.

So, wanting to pay tribute to the Golden History of our island that so skillfully flirts with Mythology, we decided that our PDO series of Extra Virgin Olive Oil be named "Golden Creta Savouidakis".
